midnight at the oasis
Yesterdays event was fun. There was over 80 new comers on site, I think I garbed about 50 of them. The whole barony was great helping out with new comers. they all seamed to have a good time and are thinking about coming back. it seams like I got all the garb back. but I need to check today. the belts rocked.
the loaner garb grew and grew a lot. there are 4 more tubs now that were not there yesterday. so I need to split those between the cantons. grey cat and mistrress clare both donated two boxes of stuff they could not sell and where tired of trying to sell. which was great!.
Time to go clean the site. LOVE liveing 1.5 miles from site!!!

Flashlight Tag in the grave yard as a kid living between 2 graveyards, it was fun. you could not leave the graveyard and only the person who was it could use their flashlight. if you were caught in the beam you were it.

a day of wedding, and cat ills
yesterday we went up to Allagraneza's wedding to Darren in Galax Va. It was a small but bueatiful wedding. Cathy was gorgeous and garb she wore was high 15 cen with bumb roll. Darren was wearing a G-53 and looked great. the boys where both on good behavior and looked great. the cerimoney was very family orinetated linking him to he son and her to his son.
the drive up was basiclly uneventful untill we hit the mtn. the cow path up the mtn. that the GPS took us on the car did not agree with. too steep, too windy, no sholder, no second lane. We were happy to get there with out pushing. Took the nice two land road down the MTn.
got home about 10:30 11 ready to drop into bed. I was gettin a drink to try to get my voice back, and notice that Goo's eye was bright red. tSo I tried to get a good look at the skidish cats eye. so after getting Xav back out of bed, cornering the cat under the table. we both agreed it looked like he had lost his eye in a fight that day, since something was hangin inside the red eye. Called the vet,Called the emergency vet. got he address took him over to see the emergency vet.... yes after 30 min of the chase and catpure game for getting skiddish cat in box. we won but the cat took out one shirt, and scratched the crap out of both of us. go to the vet a midnight, talking baout how much this sucks.. expensive vet bill plus a cat with one eye.
get to the vet. GOOD NEW. what we saw hanging was eye buggers. cat still has on messed up eye but it only infected witha large gash in the eyelids... and small punchture spot onthe eye. cat will heal.
Better news it only cost under $200 for kitty drugs 2 types, kitty emergency doctor, and kitty eye exam, We were excited that this cost less than a get dusty's balls choped vet bill.
Cary Emergency Vets ROCK!!!! They are great people, and were very understanding.
still monday we will have to call and see if we can get goo in at the regular vet also.
but for 2 nights in a row I was upuntill 2 am, I have a sore troat that is leading to no voice and my cat is OK, and cuddly too.. well as cuddly as goo gets.
But off to have another busy easter sunday... move someone. then hit fighter practice, then over to the folks for easter dinner. Some were in there I need to hit the Grocery for next week, the drug store, and make dessert for easter sunday.

caer mear Barional b-day is now up in the air.
If I feel like going at 5 am we get in teh car and go . if I feel like rolling over at 5 am and hideing in bed then we do.

OK so I am finally packing for KASF.....
I will be working in the kitchen all day, SO.....I started looking for my hiding in the kitchen garb.... it has been a long time. that I have gone to an event thinking I was going to hide in the kitchen all day not just ending up there.
So out of the wow I havn't been to pennsic for 7 year damn this is some retched garb closet comes
But i want short sleeves to play in dough with all day.
one orange knee lenght tunic with a yellow, blue red and purple side less
one white chamise and red skirt with blue bodice ( no bodice lacing..... and damn this one take strong laces)
one tan short lenght (I am running to the show with nothing on but this) tunic, and a red and white micro checky sideless.
the one's which is not in walmart dollar a yard or cotten see through a mterial are the orange t tunic is linen and the white chamise is broad cloth oh yeah and the botice
any way wow as some people look really good for KASF I willbe looking functional sorta

fun Torch
My sweetie got the me the plumbing for the oxy-propane torch with all the borosilicate glass we already got I am a happy girl!
I have already made a glass leave with a place to hang it from a bobble. and a little glass bobble.
hehehe I love the big torch :)
I am hating this computer.

Sleep
Yesterday when I got off work I had big plans of cleannign the kitchen and working in the shop after the gym
so I go to the gym get a good 1 hr long work out in
get home work in the shop while talking to my very sick over work sister with 3 sick kids.
work in the shop until my hands give out.
come in look at the kitchen and put in a movie and start crocheting a new blanket.
start to fall asleep with the kitten, deciede it ' s nap time
start the nap at 5 ish get up 11 ish to take my meds because my sweetie wakes me up to take my meds and sleep till 7 ish this morning.. I really needed sleep.

nice shop time after a long day
Today was a very hetic day at work.... i think I only took 30 min at lunch and the phone/ email kept coming... but all in all a good day even including the last email at 7:00 with a major opps in it. I thought I was going to die of being tired came home to dinner on the counter, hubby in the shop. he came into eat with me and crashed. I went out to the shop. shop time by your self is wonderful, the radio with your music. the grinding wheel going, no room for random thoughts. the soft roar of the torch. the bright glow of metal and glass. shop time is wonderful. I like it when we can yell at each other across the shop about come check this out. and show off what we are working on. but working out there by your self is sooo realaxing and productive. I got the project I was asked to do today about 3/4 done tonight. they should be on my co workers desk later this week. for most of you this a warning that I am trying to leave this open wide open so that people who refuse to use two bloggin systems can leave a message here too. but on ly for a few post.

25 very tiny drill holes later, I think the most intricate part of my yimr project may be closer to comlpete... it still has some sanding and refining but it is roughly there.

lessons learned in the shop tonight
1. don't try to tell the hubby new idea to work on while holding a new tool, Hide the tool and then talk to him
2. love the shop heater, learn to share the heat that the shop heater puts off
3. clean the path between my work area and the hubby work area, so when he screems for help you can get to him with worring about killing yourself on the tools on the floor, or the light in the way.
4. though the internet, the tool makers and common sense says that a .02 diameter saw blade will fit in a .025 diameter hole don't believe it untill you try it. cause it doesn't you need a .03 diameter hole
5. don't push hard on the hand drill it will only break the drill bit and not help get the whole drilled any faster, if you wanted fast you would be using power tools.

I figued out my splenda / sugar issue
the splenda is going in the mayan cocoa. Mayan cocoa has chiles, hazelnut, cinnimon, and vanilla
Sugar goes in the Mexican. Mexican cocoa has only Cinniamon vanilla and of course both have COCOA
now I just have to finish bagging it
